Poor dogs

In Spain, as anywhere in the world, there are people who are dedicated to hunting. In my opinion can be a respectable activity, while respecting the rights of animals.
The problem arises when certain people decide to end the life of their dogs when they no longer serve this purpose.
This problem was experienced by all races but especially galgos.
The most widely used practice is hanged on a tree, but will also be based killer shots or simply abandon them in a place where they are sure they will not survive and return home.

Here are some pictu
res for you appreciate the slaughter that is committed to these poor and faightful animals.

THE BULL OF VEGA (TORDESILLAS)

Tordesillas is a ville dark, linked to the barbarism, the evil and gratuitous violence, contaminated by the blood that has decided to run to perpetuate deep shame. Maybe it's a beautiful point in the geography, but today I feel like a black hole which devours voraciously all the beauty you may have. No. It is not fair cruelty. It is nice the party if the party becomes the public expression of horror, a horror without discussion, no other hue than the alleged attempt to disguise it with ancient traditions, traditions whose only virtue is to allow "legally" to express the instincts primitive. Thick could certainly embroiled in discussions about the concept of tradition, but this is a false debate, because no tradition can rely to evil.
Tordesillas can disguise it as you want. You can put on the table for economic interests to ancient traditions. Can you explain, outside microphone, that no mayor dares stand up to tradition.

You can find many excuses as there is imagination dense in the grammar of sadism. But what remains, naked all, is a noble animal, yet brutally battered body full of wounds, died of dozens of hits, with no other fault than being born in a beautiful corner of the Duero, full of barbarians.
Barbarians can be passed by technology, with mobile telephony and Internet access. They can be part of political correctness and to be people of order and mass. They can be peaceful, friendly and attractive. May be the best people in the world. But, with the Toro de Vega, are the best people in the world, full of barbarians.
Fortunately, there are many associations that fight, complain and have ongoing campaigns against such acts.
To all those who embarrasses and hurts these killings are still part of the culture of violence that exists in Spain, we invite to join the Facebook group: No to the bull of Tordesillas.
Only social pressure and increased general awareness and sensitivity can end up with so much pain and meaningless. We hope that the day will come soon to happen and we treat animals with the respect they deserve.
Here is a video of the program "Caiga quien caiga' with humor who denounce this barbarism.

Pet Abandonment

Coinciding with the summer, the Affinity Foundation has presented its 'XX Annual Survey of abandonment', this edition has become one of the statistical analysis of major pet abandonment of our country, to obtain the cooperation of 250 associations of animals and over 600 municipalities scattered throughout the country. The figures analyzed correspond to the data collected in 2007, revealing a grim figures: during that year were abandoned in Spain a total of 109,000 dogs and 24,000 cats, representing an increase of 6.5% compared to the numbers 2006.
With this type of study, the Affinity Foundation wants to remove the conscience of all those involved, at some point, the abandonment of your pet for any type of event, and offer, in turn, advice and recommendations to overcome certain situations in many cases, end up with the animal in a shelter. This year, as in previous editions, have opted to promote leisure travel with pets, and they have published a guide that includes 2700 hotels and cottages 1700 allowing the presence of pets.

The sad reality of abandonment
Unlike other European countries, where rates of abandonment of animals are ridiculous, in Spain the number of pets that become homeless is growing year after year. Only in 2007 a total of 109,000 dogs were neglected by their owners, although Mary Azkargorta, Affinity Foundation director, stressed that "this figure is less than 2% of
all dogs that are in our country, we can therefore say that the vast majority of owners are responsible people. "
Andalucía and Madrid are the Autonomous Communities where more dogs were abandoned in 2007, with 21 670 and 16 988 animals respectively, while Asturias is at the bottom with 1307 dogs. The study carried out by the foundation also reveals a curious fact: no more dogs are abandoned in the summer. In fact, throughout 2007, the first quarter was that a higher number of cases, with 35.5% of the total compared to 33% and 31% in the second and third quarter.
You can not say the same thing when we refer to the feline world. Of the 24 457 cats were left homeless in 2007, nearly half (43.97%) were abandoned during the summer, a figure that Azkargorta related to "the high number of kittens that are abandoned during the summer, the rest of the year most adults are exemplary. " In this case, Cataluña is the autonomous community with the highest dropout rate felines: 59
97 total in 2007.
The fate of these animals in the case of dogs, the good news is that three of every four dogs entering a shelter have a happy ending. 52% are adopted by a family that gives them a new lease on life, while about 22% are returned to their owners for having reached the center for loss and abandonment. Unfortunately, 16% eventually die by euthanasia, a figure that, in the case of cats, reaches 42%, "a very alarming figure," ruling the Affinity Foundation director.
And that is, the cats, are not as lucky as the dogs at the time to reach the shelters. Where appropriate, the number of adoptees is reduced to 37%, while only 4.5% return again with their owners. These numbers could be extended substantially improved the use of microchips, which are mandatory in many autonomous communit
ies, because "in the case of dogs, only two out of ten had a microchip, and if we refer to cats, the number is reduced a little over 3%, "explains Mary Azkargorta.

I FEEL ASHAMED... IT CAN HURT YOUR SENSITIVITY

Today I have come to hand this chilling video. A few words I can say about this subject, besides those already mentioned originally two entries below.
It seems overly cruel, shameful and unspeakable cruelty that we committed in Spain year after year, show after show, festival after festival ... I think society should not be considered the first modern world when we continue to allow this barbaric and do nothing. These individuals called bullfighters, in my opinion, should be in jail.

ILLEGAL FIGHTS

Training of these animals have coverage both psychologically and physically.
Regarding the former, are abused p
hysically base hits, jabs and scratches, and confined for hours in small cubicles dark, with the aim of making them feel hatred and anger. Drugs are commonly used in this training: first the dogs are hooked on them and then take it away, so that anxiety and aggressiveness of the dog reach maximum levels.
Another exercise is to confront animals smaller than them, or dogs of similar size, untrained, in order to promote their self-confidence.

"The training of a fighting dog is the closest thing to an endless torture, and life is too short. Even the best champion not usually last more than four or five fights, the maximum is ten. By that, win or lose are condemned to almost certain death. The fighting dogs that come to us or that we collect, "because when they leave them no longer serve in any part, come with a terrible wound, especially on the
neck and legs, and it is difficult to survive."Laments the director of a foundation that helps animals.

According to the Guardia Civil, 400 of the 2,500 or 3,000 dogs are stolen each year is devoted to sparring for a fight. The majority died during fighting training or shortly thereafter, as a result of wounds.
With regard to physical appearanc
e, training techniques do not stop being cruel and unfair: the animals leave hours hanging from a rope by his teeth to strengthen his jaw, make them run on a treadmill for hours to develop its musculature and electric shock to let loose in the year to unleash their aggression before training and fighting, among others.
The concern in this spectacle of blood and death is not exclusive to Spain, while in other European Union states like France and Germany, the issue has come to their respective parliaments.
The police, despite sometimes have identified people involved in dog fighting, can do nothing legally against them because of the legal vacuum as regards the protection of animals. In Spain as co
mmander explains Pírriz of Seprona, "dogfighting is not a crime, but lack, so that even if we know for certain where a fight is being held, the judge never give us the necessary order to enter; could not arrest anyone unless in the same place are committing other criminal activities.
"The legal tools," insists the commander-are clearly insufficient to halt this business that the security forces, however, are still investigating. It is very closed circles, who already know each other well, and have their own ke
y to communicate the date, time and place of combat. "
Animal welfare associations had been alleging for some time and the increase in thefts of guard dogs to be used in fights, but in recent months, these co
mplaints have skyrocketed. The protective claim that, for the breeds of dogs stolen is more than obvious that they will be used in fights or sparring of combat.
And they are convinced there is a resurgence of brutal business, which some attribute to the entry into Spain of new gangs of East and South America, areas with an abundance of fights to the death between animals.
Latest reports have been presented in Madrid, where he denounced Amnesty Animal few days ago the continuous theft of hounds
taking place at night in the municipal pounds, and in Catalonia, according to various associations, it is happening exactly the same. " Every time we get more news from different parts of Spain, about events that deal directly or indirectly with these battles, like the theft of dogs from shelters and private shelters and even, "says founding director of the animal.

But dogs are not only victims of this atrocity, many more animals suffer. Among them, the roosters.
A fighting cocks they are provided with artificial spurs on their own in order to cause greater damage on specimens adversaries.
Some argue these fights as p
art of a sport "traditional and honorable", with rules, rituals and some animals that have been raised "with care and attention" to the days of confrontation.
These matches are very popular in people in many countries. As people evolve become more aware of the reali
ty of these acts and, increasingly, these shows are put into question, regardless of the tradition that sustains them, and reflecting the value that human beings gives life.
Thus we can see the case of Barcelona, who went from being a city to be declared bullfighting bullfighting city, banning bullfighting.

Profile of participants

According to psychological reports that they have some animal welfare groups, the profile of the
participants i
n these unfortunate events, it is generally for "individuals with personality disorders of various types, from aggressive psychopathic people with severe inferiority complex."
A study by Harvard University, conducted in the southern U.S. st
ates where dogfighting is abundant and in some traditional cases, concluded that men spectators, almost exclusive of these struggles to the death, which is unheard of to find women-attend to strengthen their masculinity. According to the report "the spectators of the bloody sport (as fans call him) feel their ego inflated with the characteristics of the dogs, they attribute to themselves: aggressiveness, competitiveness and strength."
Such allocation through these animals and fights speaks for itself.

THE BULLFIGHTING

Well, to inaugurate my blog I decide to start with a theme which, in my opinion, is the clearest sign of the animal abuse in Spain: the bullfighting.
Although most Spanish (80%) oppose or are indifferent bullfighting, there are still many who do not know the cruel tricks they use and who are in the world of bullfighting to the task of annihilating the bull will be simple. Now, I'm going to tell you these cruel tactics.
Although everyone is aware of the caliber who have the weapons used by bullfighters, I am prepared to detail information about them.
To prepare the bull for what is coming, the 'vande
rilleros' and 'picaores' (the latter also endangering the lives of horses) dedicated to introducing puya
14 inches in the back. After this comes the 'brave' matador to finish the job...
The task of the bullfighter is to give several cape and finally through the body with a sword 80 inches long that shatters various animal body parts, such as the liver, lungs, pleura, etc... If the poor animal has fortunately, the following will be a pull or cut the ears and tail, while still alive. If not, get stabbed in the neck with a blade of 10 inches
that severing the spinal cord.
So here is the process of a bullfight, but the suffering of the animal begins long before its preparation.
Several veterinary of the 'Plaza de las Ventas' in Madrid have denounced the atrocities suffered by the bulls before leaving the square.
Several veterinary Plaza de las Ventas in Madrid have denounced the atrocities suffered by the bulls before leaving the square. As expected, the bullfighter does not face the bull with all forces that can have this beautiful animal, but it prepared ... To take away the strength of the bulls they stick pins in their genitals introduce cotton into the throat, caustic liquid in the eye to hinder his vision, they make incisions on the hoof, where corrosive
and will produce them and prevents them from burning keep quiet. In addition, a day before the bull stepped on the square will cut the horns to protect the bullfighter, hang bags of sand in the neck for endless hours, soaked in water and lime all night to soften your skin and facilitate the introduction of the deadly stakes, he was locked in a dark place so that, when released, the light and the shouts of the spectators panicked and fled their attempts to appear ferocity.
For this information I think the bullfighters who have fucked should have a somewhat limited intelligence.
To sum up, I think it isn't necessary to confirm the dislike I feel for the national holiday, we should consider this cruelty still allowing our country.
